Hi there,
I have bad psoriasis on my forehead, hairline and ears, and my doctor prescribed me some hydrocortisone cream and tar shampoo.
I’ve been using the tar shampoo every other day for the past two weeks, and using the hydrocortisone cream daily for the past two weeks. I put plenty on, and I leave it on whilst I’m asleep. I wear a headband to keep my fringe up.
But it’s not working! My psoriasis is just as bad, and I’m very conscious about it. I want to cut my hair short (I’m a boy), but daren’t because people will be able to see my forehead. And all the flaky skin goes in my hair and it looks terrible!
Is there anything else I can do? Please help me!

I have had psoriasis in my scalp for 47 years. I have always went to dermatologist for treatments of the scalp and body. There are over the counter tar shampoos that I have used in the pass that have worked. I would try different ones and see what works. If all else fells, see a dermatologist.
